Christmas Eve Pamper Essentials…

Christmas-Eve Essentials

Only a few more sleeps til the big day chums and the excitement is well and truly building… cheesy Christmas tunes, cupboards packed with goodies and remnants of glitter scattered everywhere from sparkly wrapping paper. However no matter how old I get there’s always something truly special about the atmosphere of Christmas Eve, hence why I look forward to it so much. It’s that electrical charge of childhood excitement that leaves us full to the brim of holiday hope and cheer. I love it! Yet in the midst of all the extra energy I seem to hit a point where I need to slow down and savour the moment. So to help relax and get my festive feelings in order here’s a few of the little treats and essentials I intend on looking forward too on one of the most magical nights of the year…

Youre a star lush

Whilst everyone else is busy with last minute wrapping and preparations I find it the perfect opportunity to catch my breath for an hour after a busy few weeks preparing for Santa’s visit, not to mention the wave of jolly relatives that will descend upon me for plates full of turkey and stuffing the following day. Taking that little breather the night before helps to recharge my batteries and leaves me feeling refreshed, relaxed and ready to party!
This gorgeous ‘You’re A Star’ gift set from LUSH cosmetics has everything a girl needs to look and smell delicious, including: The Comforter bubble bar, Charity Pot hand & body lotion, Beautiful shower gel, King Of Skin body Butter, Karma Komba shampoo bar, Sex Bomb bath bomb, Dragons Egg bath bomb, Gorgeous Moisturiser, Happy Happy Joy Joy condition hair perfume.

Christmas Eve Yankee Candle

Most of you know only too well that I have a slight obsession for candles any time of the year but when it’s Christmas and all those gorgeous cinnamon scents hit our high street I’m in a festive frenzy loading my shopping basket full of yummy yuletide wafts… and this week is no exception as I’ll be taking a trip to my local Yankee Candle store to pick up a their amazing Christmas Eve candle *swoon* Have you smelt it yet? It is divine! What better way is there to create an authentic scent-sational ambience?

Christmas PJs

Surely it’s a mandatory requirement that everyone should be slipping into a fresh new pair of cosy pj’s on Christmas Eve? There is no better feeling after your little pamper session than snuggling up in a cosy pair of cute pyjamas and toasty slipper socks! I found this cute pair of Christmas Owl pj’s whilst browsing through the House Of Fraser website. Aren’t they just jolly gorgeous?

elf-movie-poster

I could literally pick a dozen of my favourites and still not be done, however seeing as our little girl is always tickled with Elf I’ll have to recommend it on Emma’s behalf! Honestly, this fun Christmas film has adults & kids tee-heeing with laughter at the awesome Will Ferral who plays an Elf trying to make his way in the big city… if you haven’t watched it make it top of your movie play list! If you’ve any great recommendations of your own please feel free to let me know in the comments below 🙂

 hot choc christmas eve

I don’t believe it’s officially Christmas Eve in Confetti & Curves HQ unless you’re holding a huge cup of hot chocolate with marsh mallows and whipped cream on top. Okay, so it’s not going to do the waistline any favours but who gives a toot?  Tis the season to relish in a few extra treats including popcorn, gingerbread men and yummy bowls of little savoury tasties. You can tell what the New Years Resolution’s going to be this year again right? *rolls eyes*

Ps: Pop a little peppermint candy in your hot chocolate to give it a mild minty taste or to really warm the senses a dash of Bailies Irish Cream… it’s too yum for words!

      • I wish I was kidding, but nope, you’d think with the ever so funny John Candy and Steve Martin!! I totally just pictured that “Joy to the world” scene. I like the aunt (or I think she was the aunt) married to Louis) where she says to Ellen, “are you still dating Clark?” I liked all her lines and when she wrapped up her cat. Great movie!! Never gets old, only people get old, haha 😀 xoxo

  2. Fun post Karen. I need to go hunt down some cozy PJ’s cause it’s starting to get cold around here. I’m also going to give Gabriel hot chocolate for the first time EVER this Saturday so that should be interesting lol.

      • Thank you! I think his fever is finally gone. He had a bit of one before bed last night but no sign of it this morning. He’s been in a really bad mood all day, but who can blame him! Big hugs back!

      • Awwh poor wee huni 😦 So glad to hear it’s gone done, keeping all crossed that he’s over the worst of it. It amazes me how resilient kids are to fighting these things – if it was me Kaily I’d be taking to my bed for two weeks… and I couldn’t even tell you the mood I’d be in lol Thank you lovely 🙂 XXXX

  4. I have my fluffy pj’s, have the hot chocolate ready, the yankee candle sitting in place and the Christmas movie chosen so I’m fairly ready! (Although I’ll be curling up to watch some sci-fi movies rather than Christmas ones :D)
