Hey Beauty Buddies…
To say I’m excited is a bit of an understatement. From 5pm this afternoon I have five glorious days booked off work to look forward too. Not that I’m planning on going anywhere special or doing anything remotely remarkable, but just having that stretch of free space makes me almost delirious with happiness. No 5am starts, no school run, no rushing around first thing in the morning trying to locate my phone charger or last minute hunt for Emma’s PE shoes. It’s such a rare thing having so much time to myself, but I could happily fill it with doing absolutely nothing other than recharging my batteries. How lovely is it to be able to plan each day after we surface in the morning? That in itself is a rare and special treat!

Lifestyle posts and honest reviews.
What inspired you to start blogging?
Since my trip to South Korea, I’ve become a self-proclaimed expert on Korean beauty products. I often provide tips and recommendations to friends, and one day I decided that I should start sharing this knowledge with a larger audience. I’ve also had an interest in front-end web design since middle school, so I hope to use my blog to develop those skills as well.
Tell us about your blog name… what made you decide on it?
My blog is called All About Leanne. I actually didn’t put too much thought into it, and realized afterwards that it sounds a bit narcissistic. Despite that, I think the name is fitting because this blog is a reflection of myself, as well as all of my current interests.
Do you ever suffer from Blogger’s Block & if so how do you overcome it?
I used to have a set schedule for my posts (specific categories on certain days), and that really induced Blogger’s Block. Since moving away from that structure, I haven’t had any issues. I have a notebook dedicated to ideas for my blog and I also bookmark anything online that inspires me. On top of that, I have so many products that I still need to review, so those keep me busy.
What’s your favourite post to date?
I don’t know if this is my absolute favourite, but I went to a free class at Blue Bottle Coffee and had a lot of fun writing about it: Blue Bottle Coffee Bonmac Pourover Class (http://allaboutleanne.com/2015/08/19/blue-bottle-coffee-bonmac-pourover-class/).
Describe your everyday clothes style:
Casual girly. I wear a lot of loose-fitting tops, lace accents, chiffon, knits, and solid colours.
What are your current top 3 beauty items?
I currently love Dr. Jart+ Dermaclear Micro Water, Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb, and Laneige BB cushion. I use them every day!
How do you like to relax & unwind after a stressful day?
A foot bath and hot shower, followed by a good book or TV show.
Describe your ideal Saturday night:
I absolutely love movie nights at home with friends or family and, of course, LOTS of snacks.
What do you do to relax?
I like to do yoga to focus on my breath and intention. If I’m at home, I’ll pamper myself with bath products or sheet masks.
Everyone has their bad habits, what’s yours?
I am constantly snacking on junk food…
What’s your most cherished childhood memory?
Hmm… it’s hard to choose just one. My family used to go to Santa Cruz quite often. My dad would fish along the pier, and afterwards we’d eat fried calamari. Later on, we’d take a stroll along the boardwalk and I would always get a giant pink cotton candy.
What was your favourite school subject?
In high school, it was tied between math and science. In college, it was environmental design.
What’s your dream job?
I think it would be really cool to work at a high fashion or beauty magazine.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Oh, I have no idea. I’ll probably be working at a biotechnology company and (hopefully) travelling more.
What top 5 things are on your bucket list?
Eat sushi in Japan
Have paella in Spain
Go to a Warriors game
Become proficient in a foreign language
Take a road trip with friends
What’s your biggest achievement to date?
Graduating from college!
Who inspires you?
Everyone and everything around me provides some sort of inspiration.
Do you have a favourite inspirational quote?
I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. – Maya Angelou
What top tips would you give to someone who is thinking of starting their own blog?
Be yourself, have fun, and get to know other bloggers! Everything else will come naturally.
