Keeping Up With Karen…

Keeping Up With Karen

I fricken LOVE 3 day weekends. That extra day lends itself so unbelievably useful as I managed to get my ‘To Do’ list nailed on Friday leaving an ENTIRE weekend to catching up on whatever I please. The house was cleaned from top to bottom (majoritively thanks to the hubby) sidenote: anyone else love the sound of teeny stones getting sucked up the hoover?! I know, I’m a tad on the bizarre side – I’m blaming it on too much sun 😉

Of course most of yesterday was spent with Em’s, playing around with new nail art equipment, testing a few new cosmetic goodies (reviews coming soon!!) and a cosy night in with hubby… what better way to spend a Saturday evening! *happy sigh*

Of course today is spent brushing up on a few blog post, writing projects and most likely lounging around the house sipping on cold drinks and fanning myself with beauty magazines. Sounds divine? It sure is 😀 What’s your plans for today? Don’t forget to let me know in the comments below – and feel free to leave a link to any blog posts you’d like us to check out too. As always here’s a quick recap of what’s been happening this week on Confetti & Curves….

The Me Spree – Bourjois Summer Essentials

Bourjois Summer Essentials

After a recent wander around my local Superdrug store I managed to make my way home with a few new beauty goodies that I can’t wait to try out! Of course I’m also rather taken by my freebie gift… and you could get your hands on one too. Check out the post for more info 🙂

The Dance Festival

The Dance Festival

This week’s upload was a little bit different to my usual beauty chatter as I showcased a few little clips from Emma’s Irish Dancing festival last weekend. Being her 1st she’d no idea what to expect but she danced her little heart out, won herself 2 trophies and 4 medals AND got an exclusive performance from her Lord of The Dance adjudicator… amazing! Don’t forget *click here* to subscribe to the Confetti & Curves YouTube channel so you never miss a future upload ❤

  1. Your weekend sounds like bliss Karen! I spent my Saturday with an awful migraine and unable to keep anything down for most of the day 😦 I know what you mean about little stones getting vacuumed up, everything instantly feels cleaner lol! I finally got around to placing my Makeup Revolution order and it arrived last week. I picked up the Iconic 2 as you suggested and a few other bits as well:

    • Awwwh Chanell you poor wee thing 😦 They are AWFUL. I used to suffer with them really bad too (very rarely do now) as my epilepsy is seemingly gone, but wow I can sympathise with your pain. I’ve never been physically sick with one so I dread to think how awful you must have been!!! Are you feeling much better now?? I truly hope so!
Ohhh my gosh you did?!?! I cannot wait to see what you got – thank you SO much for sending the link as there is so many blogs in my newsfeed I miss so much these days 😦 Cannot WAIT to check it out *hugs* XXXXXX

      • I don’t know whether I felt sick because of the migraine or for some other reason. I used to get headaches all the time and sometimes like Saturday I get a really bad one. I am feeling much better now thank you, I started to improve on Saturday night 🙂 You’re welcome for the link xx

      • Awwh maybe it was a wee bug?! Either way good to hear you’re feeling much better – nothing worse than spending a weekend ill and with headaches. If they continue you should really go get them checked out. Danger signs are waking up with headaches huni, if that’s happening it’s a warning something’s not right (according to my GP anyways!!) Fingers crossed it’s all behind you now ❤ XXXX

      • I had a few appointments with doctors and a specialist years ago but they were none the wiser. If I start getting them more regularly again I will definitely have to see someone x

  2. It sounds like you have had a lovely weekend Karen! Chilling on a boat watching the sunset sounds perfect! I have had a pretty chilled weekend too, writing posts doing a bit of shopping and then went for a walk by the river today! I love chilled Sundays 🙂 xx

    • Oooh a bit of shopping?! Did you buy anything nice huni? I love a walk, particularly near flowing water as I find it so calming Rachel, even if it’s only a little stream the trickling is just so therapeutic. Maybe that’s why I love living by the sea 😀 Glad you had a really chilled day, makes a lovely end to the weekend ❤ XXXXX

      • Mainly window shopping haha! Trying to save save save! Ah yeah it’s so peaceful and relaxing! I’d love to live by the sea! I have to travel a good 40 mins to 1 hour to the nearest seaside! Exactly, now ready to tackle the week ahead! Hope you have a good one! 🙂 xx

      • Ahhh like me at the moment then Rachel!!! Makes two of us huni lol Oh gee really?! I don’t think there’s anywhere in Ireland where we’d have to travel that long as we’re surrounded by water lol Maybe you’ll get a trip to the beach this summer 🙂 Make a day of it!!!
awwh thank you lovely – hope you have a brill one too ❤ *hugs* XXXX

  3. A three day weekend! And you (and your hubby) got things done! Nice!

I haven’t done anything this weekend. It was beautiful. My biggest achievements this weekend were making potato salad (yesterday), making pizza (today) and having a face mask (yesterday). My husband and me spent most of the weekend binge-watching The 100 and The Blacklist. 😀

    • Sounds like a fabulous weekend if you ask me 🙂 Nothing better than literally just soaking up the time spent by chilling out!! Hope your potato salad was yummy… I love it, and Pizza too lol lol Of course a face mask is just the cherry on the cake for relaxing 😀 XXXXX
